Destruction of crosses in China continues
March 7, 2019 – It takes a while for stories like these to surface out of China; but another story involving the disturbing crackdown by police and Chinese officials destroying crosses on churches has surfaced.
According to ChinaAid, plain-clothed police officers arrived at a church in Xinxiang, Henen province on February 24. Chinese police attacked and beat the Christians who were trying to prevent officials from removing the cross on top of their church.
Brave congregants stood at the gate to block the crane from entering but police officers entered through another area and forcibly dragged the Christians away.
Removing crosses on churches started last year in Henan province. ChinaAid reports so far, “4,000 crosses have been removed.”
