Megachurch in China demolished mid-worship service
With our partners at Global News Alliance
A megachurch in China was destroyed while people were inside worshiping, and the pastors were detained according to China Aid.
The church, which can hold 3,000 people, received no notification of the demolition, and was legal as part of the country’s officially-recognized church network.
Officials detained the church’s pastors, Geng Yimin and Sun Yongyao, on suspicion of “gathering a crowd to disturb social order.”
We pray for the ongoing struggles of the persecuted church in China.
