Melissa McEachern is an outstanding producer of Christian media. With over 20 years of experience in the sector, her passions are to create and communicate stories of hope, courage, and light – while empowering the next generation of world changers.

Following in her father’s footsteps in Christian media, as a child Melissa grew up discussing the importance of media at the family dinner table and  how everyone has a story to tell. These conversations led her to the decision, at a very young age, to pursue a career in radio and television.

At just 16, Melissa began producing Crossroads’ youth program The WarehouseWith this position came many responsibilities and great opportunities, such as travelling to the 2000 World Expo in Germany to shoot on-location episodes for The Warehouse.

Melissa attended Ryerson University’s Radio and Television Arts program, and then became a Producer with Square One World Media Inc., in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Melissa was Road Manager for Starfield with Amanda Lindsey Cook, who was part of the Beautiful Unique Girl movement. While in Winnipeg, Melissa also produced and hosted a live Sunday evening radio show, GodTalk on the superstation, CJOB.

After seven years of working in media in Winnipeg, Melissa moved back to the major market of Toronto to accept the role as Youth Initiatives Director at Crossroads where she led an internship development program, empowering more than 55 youth in media studies. After that, she became the Executive Producer of 100 Huntley Street, Canada’s longest running daily talk show, where she led the team of creative producers, hosts, and editors.

Melissa also had the opportunity to complete the Emerging Leaders program through Arrow Leadership, which was foundational in her growth as a young leader. With her strong leadership skills and ability to create something from nothing, Melissa was asked to lead and launch Castle TV, Crossroads first OTT video platform. Melissa was the Line Producer on the hit TV documentary series, Young Once, starring The Bachelor celebrity Cassie Randolph. The brainchild of Young Once, Jon Oleksiuk filmed for two seasons and was about the highs and lows of Christian teens. It was shot on location in Newport Beach, CA.

Also, a passionate supporter of volunteering, Melissa has served on the Canadian board of the Gospel Music Association, and currently serves as a board member of Camp Crossroads. Melissa’s strong leadership skills and expertise in all aspects of media production has brought her all the way to Chief Content Officer of all of Crossroads programming and Chief Operating Officer.  And, in July 2021, Melissa was appointed Sr. Executive Producer of Context Beyond the Headlines.
