Misinformation: Finding Truth in an Age of Confusion

Information. It connects us to what’s happening in our communities and worldwide. 

But what happens when that information is wrong?

In an age of social media, news travels fast. But do we have the safeguards in place to discern fact from fiction? 

We’ve seen it before – the 2016 U.S. election, COVID-19, and most recently, the war in Ukraine. 

Google, Facebook, and Twitter say they are doing their part. 

But what happens when social media lets misinformation slip through the cracks?

As society becomes more divided, are we simply in echo chambers with our own confirmation bias? Or are we seeking the truth?
