Tensions at the Mexico-U.S. border are high as United States border agents fired tear gas at migrants, claiming they rushed the border and were throwing rocks. The U.S. government is currently on a partial shut down over debate on passing a bill that includes $5billion to fund President Trump’s border wall.

Thousands of Central American migrants who travelled to the border as part of a large caravan remain in Mexico, awaiting their preliminary asylum interviews.
