URGENT Prayer for the Christian people and churches of Nigeria
November 26, 2018 – Archbishop Kwashi of Nigeria is urgently calling on brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for a revival in Nigeria, and the protection of Christians throughout the land.
“Pray most of all that the Christians going through this suffering – out of their suffering will come out the kind of Christian faith that will be admired both on earth and in heaven…”
Christian persecution in Nigeria has become a dire and severe situation. Last month, militants attacked a Christian market in Kaduna and also burned down a church where more than 50 people were killed.
Release International is on the ground and say 6,000 Christians have been killed and close to 50,000 have been displaced this year alone.
Archbishop Kwashi has survived multiple assassination attempts and is asking the government to protect Christians in Northern Nigeria.
Release International CEO Paul Robinson spoke with the Anglican Archbishop of Jos, Nigeria Benjamin Kwashi at an IDP camp.
Archbishop Kwashi is calling out to brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for a revival in Nigeria.
Despite the destruction taking place in the country, Archbishop Kwashi says, “I am absolutely confident in God, that even if they killed all the 50 million or more Christians in Nigeria, the gospel will still thrive.”
Please lift your prayers today for our persecuted brothers, sisters, and children in Nigeria.
