“He was willing to be an ambassador for Christ right to the end.”

Ravi Zacharias eulogized his friend and protégé Nabeel Qureshi at funeral services in Houston, Texas this past week.
The 34 year old Qureshi died September 16th after a lengthy battle with stomach cancer.
Qureshi was raised in a Pakistani American Ahmadi Muslim family and came to Christianity after reading the Bible in order to debate a friend in medical school. Not surprisingly, the move caused an incredible amount of conflict for him.
In an article in the Christian Post Zacharias explained Qureshi’s “biggest heartache, was the pain [his Muslim] family was going to feel at his commitment to Christ. He wept, he sobbed, and cried across the table from me. He talked to me about it so much.”
“I remember when I came to know Christ what a struggle it was but nowhere near his. … His passion was tearing him apart on the inside — the love of his Heavenly Father and his commitment to his earthly father and mother and family,” adds Zacharias.
Qureshi went on to become a speaker and apologist for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, lecturing at Universities around the world. He authored three books. Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus; Answering Jihad; and No God but One. NabeelQureshi.com
Today on the RZIM website, reads a heartfelt message to the courageous Christian apologist, ”Goodbye, my dear friend. I mourn your loss. I weep over a friendship that was so short. You taught me so much. You often asked me after a message, “Uncle, how did I do?” My delight was great. Greater will be your delight now as you ask your Lord and your God, “Father, how did I do?” You will hear the divine accolade: “Well done, my child.”
Qureshi leaves behind his wife, Michelle, and his daughter, Ayah, as well as his parents and extended family.
