After Turkish forces attacked Syrian Kurds in the northern region of the country, more than 13,000 Syrian refugees are looking for safety in neighbouring Iraq.

Their first stop across the border is the Sehela transit centre, where Samaritan’s Purse staff are set up to greet them, pray with them, help serve meals, and provide hygiene and dignity kits.

After stopping in Sehela, the refugees take buses to Bardarash camp — a permanent refugee camp where 12,000 people now live.

Jesus comforts the broken-hearted – Let us offer prayers for our Syrian brothers and sisters whose lives have been uprooted and thrown into chaos.
