Ukraine Under Attack

Ukraine Under Attack

A trail of destruction is left as the war in Ukraine ravages on.

Ukraine alleges war crimes in cities and towns surrounding their capital, Kyiv. Officials say they found 300 bodies in a mass grave, and the bodies of at least a hundred other civilians – killed in plain clothes – were discovered throughout the streets.

Innocent lives lost.

Nearly 4 million people have fled Ukraine – looking for safety as they worry if a home awaits them to return.

Hopes that Russia was retreating after initial peace talks had been shattered. NATO’s Secretary-General, Jens Stolenberg, says Russian troops are not withdrawing but repositioning.

The Eastern city of Mariupol has been hit the hardest. Civilians are cut off from food and medical supplies.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky continues to appeal for help and support from Western allies.

But is it enough?

This week on Context: Ukraine under attack.
